A Brief History of Racetorations

1986 saw the formation of Racetorations by Darryl Uprichard prompted by national and international racing successes in his TR3 (600BPC). This success created high demand for the unique racing modifications built into his high powered straight four engine allied to a heavily modified suspension. The business expanded rapidly offering its unique range of TR upgrades and now occupies a 10,000sqft site, in Gainsborough, North West of the city of Lincoln. This purpose-built workshop houses a modern spray booth, all the welding & fabricating equipment necessary, a machine shop & a dedicated engine, gearbox & axle shop.

Since its formation, Racetorations has constantly developed new, innovative products to improve the appearance, quality and performance of the TR range. This has been proven on the track by championship winning cars and on the road by more standard cars. Racetorations built cars have a worldwide reputation for quality and performance.

Today we wanted to take some time to share with you the memory of one of the TR3's that started it all, 400FPK.

After getting the car in 1966, Darryl initially just focused on tidying up the car with a respray and some general maintenance.

However, it didn't end there, and this became the first vehicle that Darryl fully restored.

Once the restoration had been completed, this car was used for a variety of events, notably the Land's end to John O'Groats economy runs.

This car and Darryl's work on it all those years ago influenced his passion for restorations, and no doubt is a large part of the reason we are here doing the work we do with you today.

What's Included in the Kit:

🔧 Rose jointed top wishbone arms

🔧 Fixing bolts

🔧 New top fulcrum pins

🔧 Stainless steel spacers & top ball joints

Key features include adjustability to any camber on either side, individual top wishbone arm adjustments of + or -0.75", and unlimited adjustment capability with no fixed camber setting.

Note: For TR2-4 with early type top wishbones, converting to 3-degree trunnions is necessary (available but not included in the kit). Please also note that top wishbones are exchange items with a surcharge applied if none are supplied. Exchange wishbones should be the later TR4A-6 type.
